Fish Eat Grow Big is a casual multiplayer survival game where you control a small fish in a vast ocean filled with predators and prey.
This browser-based game challenges you to navigate the food chain by eating any creature smaller than you while avoiding becoming a meal for larger ones. Using simple keyboard controls, you grow in size with every fish you consume, similar to classics like Feeding Frenzy.
It's a straightforward yet addictive experience perfect for quick play sessions.
Your primary objective is survival and growth. You start as one of the smallest fish in the sea, making you vulnerable to almost everything.
The goal is to hunt and eat fish that are smaller than your own, which causes your character to visibly grow larger. As you increase in size, you unlock the ability to eat bigger and bigger prey.
The ultimate aim is to become the largest and most dominant fish in the ocean. There's no complex story-just the simple, satisfying loop of hunting, eating, and growing, all while carefully avoiding the ever-present danger of being eaten yourself.
One of the best features of Fish Eat Grow Big is its local multiplayer mode. You can play with up to three people on the same computer, making it a great game to enjoy with friends or family.
Before starting, you can select the number of players on the title screen.
In a multiplayer match, each person controls their own fish. You can choose to work together, helping each other corner smaller fish, or compete to see who can grow the biggest the fastest.
Just be careful-if your friend's fish grows larger than yours, you become fair game for them too!
You can play Fish Eat Grow Big for free directly in your web browser. There's nothing to download or install, so you can start playing instantly.
Because it's a browser-based HTML5 game, it works on most school or work networks, allowing you to enjoy a quick marine adventure during a break without any blocks or restrictions.
Your goal in Fish Eat Grow Big is to become the largest fish in the sea.
You must eat fish that are smaller than you to grow in size while simultaneously avoiding any fish that are larger than you, or they will eat you and end your game.
Controlling your fish is simple. Player 1 uses the WASD keys to move up, left, down, and right. If you're playing a 2-player game, the second player uses the arrow keys to navigate their fish around the screen.
Progression is based entirely on consumption. As you successfully eat smaller fish, your own fish will get bigger. This allows you to hunt a new tier of slightly larger fish that were previously a threat. The cycle continues as you climb the oceanic food chain.
To start a multiplayer session, use the selector on the main menu to choose between 1, 2, or 3 players before you begin. Each player will spawn as a small fish and compete or cooperate in the same underwater environment.
Start Small - When you first spawn, you are extremely vulnerable. Focus only on the tiniest fish and stay away from everyone else until you've grown a little bit.
Know Your Prey - A good rule of thumb is that if another fish is smaller than your own fish's head, you can safely eat it. If it's the same size or bigger, steer clear.
Use the Edges - The corners and edges of the map can be safer zones. They limit the directions a larger predator can approach from, giving you a better chance to escape. Patience is Key - Don't recklessly chase prey into crowded areas.
Sometimes it's better to wait in a relatively safe spot and ambush smaller fish that swim by. Co-op Strategy - In 2-player mode, work together. You can herd small fish towards your partner or act as a lookout to warn them about incoming dangers.
