Among Us is a multiplayer social deduction game where teamwork and betrayal take center stage in outer space. In this browser-based version, you join a crew of 4-10 players trying to get their spaceship ready for departure. The catch? One or more randomly chosen players are Impostors bent on eliminating everyone else before all the tasks are done.
As a Crewmate, your job is twofold: complete your assigned tasks and stay alive. You'll move around the map, interacting with various panels and systems to perform mini-games like connecting wires or fueling engines. The team's task progress is tracked by a shared bar.
While doing your chores, you must keep an eye out for suspicious behavior. If you find a fallen crewmate, report it immediately to call a group meeting. During these discussions, you'll debate who the Impostor might be and vote to eject a suspect. If you vote out all the Impostors or complete all your tasks, the Crewmates win.
Playing as the Impostor in Among Us flips the script entirely. Your objective is to blend in, pretend to do tasks, and eliminate the Crewmates one by one until your numbers are equal to theirs. You have a unique set of abilities to help you achieve this.
Impostors can use vents to travel quickly and secretly across the map. They can also sabotage critical ship systems, like turning off the lights to reduce vision or triggering a reactor meltdown to create a deadly distraction. The key is to kill without being seen and then lie convincingly during meetings to cast suspicion on others.
You can play Among Us for free directly in your web browser. There's no download or installation required, making it easy to start a game quickly. This unblocked version works on most networks, including those at school or work, so you can join a crew and find the Impostor from anywhere.
Your goal in Among Us depends on your role. As a Crewmate, you must complete all the tasks assigned to you or successfully identify and vote out all the Impostors. As an Impostor, your goal is to eliminate Crewmates until your numbers are equal, either by killing them or getting them voted out. Use WASD or the arrow keys to move your character around the ship. Use your mouse to interact with task panels and on-screen buttons. When you are near a task or an interactable object, left click the 'Use' button to perform the action. Gameplay is divided into rounds of tasks and meetings. When a body is reported or an emergency meeting is called, the game pauses for discussion. Players type in the chat to share information and accusations, then vote for who to eject. After the vote, the game resumes until another meeting is called or one side wins.
Stick Together - As a Crewmate, moving in pairs or small groups makes it much harder for an Impostor to get a kill without a witness. Observe the Task Bar - The green task bar in the top-left only fills when a Crewmate completes a task. If you see someone finish a 'task' but the bar doesn't move, they're faking it. Fake Common Tasks - As an Impostor, pretend to do common tasks like 'Swipe Card' or 'Wires' to build an alibi. Stand still at the panel for a plausible amount of time. Sabotage Strategically - Use sabotages to create opportunities. Turn off the lights to reduce vision for an easy kill, or sabotage O2/Reactor to force Crewmates to split up and fix it. Watch the Vents - Only Impostors can use vents. If you see a player enter or exit a vent, you've found an Impostor. Be careful who you tell, as they might target you next.
