Hunter Hitman is a top-down stealth action game where you play a deadly assassin armed with only a knife. This browser-based title challenges you to navigate intricate levels by drawing a path for your character to follow.
You must silently approach enemies from behind to execute takedowns, blending puzzle-solving with precise action in a way that's perfect for fans of strategic stealth gameplay.
Success in Hunter Hitman relies on staying completely unseen. You use your mouse to draw a line from your character to where you want them to go.
To eliminate a target, you must guide your hitman to a position directly behind them without ever crossing their line of sight, which is shown as a vision cone.
Once you're in the correct spot, the takedown is automatic. The core challenge isn't complex combat but the strategic movement required to get into position without alerting any of the guards patrolling the area.
While the game starts with simple layouts and a few stationary targets, the difficulty quickly ramps up. You'll soon face multiple guards with overlapping patrol routes, moving targets, and environmental obstacles that block your path.
Each new level in Hunter Hitman presents a fresh puzzle to solve.
Planning your route is critical. You'll need to observe enemy patterns, time your movements perfectly, and decide the optimal order to eliminate your targets to clear a path to the exit. One wrong move and you'll be spotted, forcing an immediate restart of the level.
You can play Hunter Hitman directly in your web browser with no downloads or installation required.
Because it's an HTML5 game, it runs on most modern devices and can be accessed on networks at school or work, making it easy to jump into a quick session of stealth action whenever you have a moment.
The goal in Hunter Hitman is to eliminate all targets on the map without being detected. You must plan your route and the order of your takedowns to clear each level successfully.
Controls are entirely mouse-based. To move your character, left click and drag from the hitman to your desired destination to draw a path. Your character will automatically follow the line you've drawn.
To perform a takedown, you must position yourself directly behind an enemy. The takedown is automatic once you are in range. Avoid entering the vision cone in front of enemies, as being spotted results in an instant level restart.
Later levels introduce more complex patrol patterns and multiple guards. You will need to observe their movements and time your own path-drawing to slip past them or eliminate them one by one without others noticing.
Observe First - Before you draw any path, take a moment to watch the patrol routes of all guards to find the safest approach.
Chain Your Moves - You can draw one long, continuous path that leads you from one takedown to the next in a single fluid motion. Use Cover Wisely - Plan your routes to end behind walls or obstacles.
This allows you to stay hidden while you wait for the next enemy to get into position. Prioritize Key Guards - Identify and eliminate guards whose vision cones cover your main pathways or other targets.
Taking them out first often opens up the rest of the level. Short Paths are Safer - When possible, use short, direct paths. Longer paths increase the chance that a moving guard will spot you mid-route.
