Mastering Drifts and Boosts
Speed is your greatest weapon, and the nitro boost is your best friend. A boost meter fills up over time and by performing risky maneuvers.
Knowing when to use it is key- save it for long, straight sections to cover massive distance, or use it for a quick escape when you're cornered by rivals.
While not a traditional drift mechanic, controlled swerving and sharp turns are essential. You'll need to weave through tight gaps and make split-second decisions. Feathering your steering instead of holding it down will give you more precise control as the speeds get more extreme.
How Scoring Works in Race Inferno
Your main objective is to get the highest score possible. The primary way to score is by simply surviving and covering distance. The farther you drive, the more points you accumulate. However, for a truly high score, you need to play with style.
You'll earn significant bonus points for 'Near Misses' by driving dangerously close to obstacles or other cars without hitting them. Chaining these together activates a score multiplier.
You can also score by performing 'Takedowns', which involves ramming rival cars into hazards for a satisfying, point-filled explosion.
