How Does the Stealth Work?
Success in Robin Hood: Give and Take hinges on avoiding detection. Each guard has a cone of vision that sweeps across the area as they patrol. If you step into this cone, you're caught instantly and have to restart the level.
You'll need to use the environment to your advantage.
Hiding behind objects like barrels, carts, and corners of buildings will block the guards' line of sight, keeping you safe.
The key is to observe their predictable patrol routes, anticipate their movements, and dash from one safe spot to the next when their backs are turned. It’s all about timing and careful observation.
What's the 'Give and Take' Mechanic?
This game isn't just about thievery- it's about charity. First, you must 'take' the gold pouches scattered around each level, often in heavily guarded spots. Once you've secured a pouch, you then have to 'give' it to a designated villager.
This creates a two-part challenge for every objective.
The route to the villager might be just as dangerous as the route to the gold. You have to plan your entire path, from snatching the treasure to delivering it, without getting caught.
Completing a level requires you to successfully deliver the required amount of gold to the poor.

Game Tips
Observe First - Don't move right away. Watch the guards' patrol routes for a full cycle to understand their patterns before you make a move.
Plan Your Full Route - Before grabbing gold, trace your path to the pouch AND your path from the pouch to the villager. The delivery is often the trickiest part. Use Cover - Always move from one piece of cover to the next.
Barrels, walls, and carts are your best friends for breaking a guard's line of sight. Hug the Walls - Sticking close to walls and obstacles often keeps you just outside a guard's peripheral vision as they turn.
Bait and Switch - You can sometimes intentionally step into the edge of a guard's vision for a split second to make them investigate, drawing them away from their post.
